- mitral valve prolapse, a heart problem that occurs when the heart valves do not function properly.
- hyperthyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormone.
- hypoglycemia, a condition that occurs when the blood sugar is too low
- medication withdrawal
- drug use
In any case, it is important to know as much as you can about panic when you’ve experienced panic attacks for the first time. The fact that it has happened once is an indication that it can happen again. It would be best to take extra precautions should the next episode arise so that your safety may be assured.
