- dizziness
- trembling
- uncontrollable fear of going crazy
- fear of dying
- hyperventilation
- sweating
- shortness of breath
- choking sensation
- chest pain
- nausea
- tingling
- chills or hot flashes
- fainting
- thoughts of impending doom
Unfortunately, there is no single cause of panic disorder. What’s worse, all the symptoms pile up together to make it even worse and perhaps prolong the attacks making it into a vicious cycle. In some cases, it has been found that panic disorder runs in families which suggest that heredity plays a role in its causes.
